I received a text message update from Cindy today, who is on a layover in Denver. I'm going to type what she sent: "Heard from mom. Dad is talking and much more alert. But not altogether of course. He was saying something about his kids (didn't quite get what) and mom said "why do you say that?" and he said "Because they love me".
Yes Dad, we love you. SO SO MUCH!!
Ken is the greatest dad in the world. He loves all of his kids without condition, and is always, always there for us no matter how trivial the situation or how bad we screwed up. One time he said to me "You call, I haul!" As much as I wish that I, along with all of my siblings could be there, I'm so glad that Cindy is on her way.
Wow what awesome first words... I know he feels all of our love and all of our prayers, true healing stuff!! Love you Dad!!
ReplyDeleteDad is always there for us, no matter what. I've never known a man who loved his kids as much as he does. And I truly believe he loves each one of us uniquely but no better than the other.
