I spoke with mom (Deanna) today at about 3PM UK time. She said that there were some encouraging signs today- she said that dad recognized her, when the day before, he thought she was Laura. "Laura?!? Who's Laura?" she asked him. She said that he was also afraid that the nurse was going to kill him in the middle of the night, and he's said some other funny/strange things, which I know is a typical side effect of all the meds he's on. His lung collapsed because of the breathing tube that was in him, it was pushing air into the area outside of his lung, but they're rebuilding it now.
I asked her how SHE is doing, because while everyone is concerned about dad, everyone is also very concerrned about HER. She said that she's doing fine, in her words, she's "amazing!". She is staying at a church members house, which is two blocks away from the hospital. She said that they're taking great care of her and spoiling her. Last night before bed, they gave her warm chocolate cake with real whipped cream and rasberries on the side. While talking to her, they were out shopping to get her more clothes. She seemed in very high spirits, and is really excited about Cindy arriving soon.
I told her that so many people are praying for her and thinking of her, and she said that she knows. She feels the love, prayers, and support, and cannot express enough grattitude for it. Please keep them coming!
I am so so sorry that this happened. Sending all my healing thoughts to you.I hope it is a fast swift healing time. So you can then come home to your wonderful family and friends.
